AUTUMN TERM 2020
We have a history focus in our topic work this half term as we are finding out about The Great Fire Of London. We will be comparing London in the present day with London in the past, finding out about life in the 17th Century, learning how the fire started and looking at sources of information in the form of Samuel Pepys' diary and finding out how the fire was stopped.
In English we are learning to write sentences correctly and have used 'Shark in the Park by Nick Sharratt' as a our first story. We have enhanced our writing by making telescopes, magic torchlight pictures and even talking shark paper plates!
In Maths we are looking at place value, counting in order from 0 - 20 and beyond, writing numerals correctly and matching to number names.
For RE we are focussing on Bread as a symbol and looking at how Christians use bread as a symbol at Harvest.
