We have just achieved our first ever Bronze level School Games Award for our commitment, engagement and delivery of competitive school sport in 2015/16. This reflects the real focus and drive we have had to get more of our children involved in sports clubs and inter-school competitions. This has been supported by FOBs who have purchased some fantastic sports kits for our children to wear when representing the school. We look forward to seeing this being worn by our children over the next year. Well done Mr Edgington for putting the application for the award together.

Falcon class completed some great home-learning on different women who have worked successfully in Science and Technology. Each group presented their learning in a variety of different ways to Mrs Humphreys, one of our Governors, and Mrs Letchford. The most successful presentation was chosen to be presented at the AWE STEM day today! The children had a great day looking at different science experiments and taking part in a wide range of science and technology activities. They presented their work on Grace Hopper to the judges and showed real confidence and understanding when answering their questions. Unfortunately we didn't win on this occasion but the team have reflected well on how they can further improve their presentations in the future! Well done to Grace, Sophie, Georgia, William, Sofia and Aidan. Photos are on our Twitter account!

Children will be reading, reciting and writing poems tomorrow as part of National Poetry Day! Perhaps you have a favourite poem you could share with your child? We look forward to sharing some of our learning with parents in our Celebration Assembly on Friday at 2:30pm.
