• Jeans for Genes Day

  On Friday we will be raising money for 'Jeans for Genes'. Children will be able to wear their jeans to school for a donation of £1 (school shoes and school jumpers to still be worn). Please see this link for further details on this charity: https://www.jeansforgenesday.org/

  The children in Oak and Acorn had an assembly today about genes and what they are and how they work. We used the metaphor of lego- the presentation can be found on the above website.

• Falcon class residential

  Falcon class set off on their week long residential today! They arrived safely and are ready to begin a week of exciting outdoor adventurous activities. Follow their week on our twitter account @BurghclerePri

• School Council and Green Group Elections!

  We held our elections for our School Council and our Green group today and are pleased to announce the new members:

  School Council: Brea, Ciara, Poppy, Matthew, Ellena, Rosie and Patrick.

  Green Group: Eli, Pippa, Emily, Francie, Bertie, Oscar H, Sam T, Grace Ca, Jude, Grace Cu and Evan.

  We look forward to seeing how they will contribute to improving our school over the next academic year.

• The new school year!

  We hope you all had a very enjoyable summer. We've had lots of redecoration work in school and the building is looking very smart and ready for an exciting school year! A warm welcome to all our reception children and their families. The children have settled very well into their new classes and we look forward to sharing their learning journeys at Burghclere.
