We strive to develop high standards in children's moral and ethical attitudes, encouraging self-confidence and to help them learn and use language about feelings and what factors affect other people around them.
With regard to sex education, the Sex and Relationship Education Policy is available in full on request.
There is a set programme of sex education, parents are informed of this in advance and have the opportunity to view the material that their children will see. Children's questions will be answered as sensitively and openly as possible.
Parents are permitted to withdraw their children from those aspects of sex education that are not contained in National Curriculum Science.
RRR - Rights Respecting Schools
We teach children about their rights throughout the curriculum, and our school and class charter reflects the values of Rights Respecting Schools.
